Media Brands

Project overview

In summary

Media Brands got in touch with us after booking the mermaid event venue for their internal company conference in 2019. Having decided to call the event ‘Forward’, we discussed multiple ideas of how to create a brand that showed movement and direction without spending too much of their budget. We worked with the client to discuss the flow of the event and what became apparent very quickly was that they wanted all of their staff to be in one space for both breakout sessions and for lunch which changed the flow from the normal layout of the venue where clients normally use the river rooms and split guests over two floors. This threw up some additional challenges to help the client direct the attendees around the venue. The client decided to go for quite a few items that at the time we had not done before. So they helped us stretch our creative ability within the venue. A lot of the items that we worked on together for this event have become staple items for future clients at the venue.

Some of the branding that was used that we are particularly proud of were huge 1.2 metre high polystyrene letters, that they could reuse for future events and replace just the number for the following year. We made hanging 3d graphics either side of the main presentation in the auditorium, registration desk branding, full pillar wraps on all four sides, hanging banners above stairways, photo shoot backdrops and large wall coverings on our smart stick, removable material, which guarantees not to damage the surface.

We produced stair raises that work particularly well as you come up the stairs, the design looks perfect from a straight on angle. We also worked with the client to create mesh banners and floor graphics.

We also created all of the badges for the client’s 280 attendees. We were then asked to send these to the attendees individually ahead of the event, as well as some information about the event to help whet the appetite of the staff and get them excited ahead of the big day. This is also included branded lanyards and multiple other branded merchandise items to create a fun starter pack for the event.

The result of all this hard work was a really brilliantly designed event branding project. It came together incredibly smoothly thanks to a very close working relationship between us and the client. We have gone on to work with Media Brands on four events since this one in 2019, and we really look forward to continuing our relationship with them as they continue to grow the events that they do each year.
